10 – 12 Slices
• 500 g (890 ml) cake flour
• 30 ml baking powder
• 30 ml thyme, chopped
• 5 ml salt
• 5 ml freshly ground black pepper
• 180 g beef biltong, sliced
• 1 x can (375 ml) beer
Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Mix the flour, baking powder, thyme, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add the biltong and beer. Stir with a wooden spoon until everything is well mixed. Spoon the mixture into a 21 x 11 cm loaf tin that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
